The basic layout of Tabata has a 20:10 second ratio; 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated between eight to ten times on a number of different exercises. This can sometimes be more effective than long sustained periods of training as Tabata works both your aerobic and anaerobic systems.

These sessions aim to help each child become physically literate, improve confidence, motivation, fundamentals of physical activity, sports specific skills, social skills and cardiovascular fitness, through fun and engaging activities. Children can also be introduced to the physical aspects of choosing a healthier lifestyle, the importance of being physically more active and will be encouraged to participate in sport.
